According to Article 26 of the Land Expropriation Act, the competent authority of a municipality or county (city) shall establish a special account for the custody of compensation fees for land expropriation in the national treasury, for the custody of compensation fees that have not been received due to delayed receipt, refusal to receive, or inability to receive. Compensation fees that have not been collected for more than fifteen years shall belong to the national treasury. In order to protect the rights and interests of the person entitled to compensation, the New Taipei City Government provides information on cases for custody reaching or about to reach the deadline for payment to the treasury for public inquiry.
