According to Article 9, Paragraph 1 of the off-island construction regulations, the areas to which this regulation applies must all be announced within 2 years from the date of the 2013 amendment enforcement date; the original landowners or their heirs may apply for repurchase within 5 years from the date of the announcement. Land repurchased according to the above provision will no longer be accepted after December 20, 2020.
