Taichung City Public Art
Domestic public art originated from Article 9 of the "Cultural and Art Subsidy Ordinance" promulgated in 1992 and the "Public Art Installation Measures" in 1998, which stipulate that public buildings must allocate 1% of the funds for the installation of public art. Public art should be installed in the project, but there is no one percent limit. Through the regulation of laws and regulations, artistic creation and public participation activities can be integrated into various public spaces, such as schools, government agencies, etc., and Taichung City has produced more than 400 public art works as a result.
