Datagov Opendata Platform

The mountainous area is composed of natural landscapes, agricultural landscapes, streams or ponds, and settlements, located in the foothills. The National Green Network project selects important mountainous landscape areas (1*1 km grid) according to the following conditions: (1) altitude below 800 m; (2) at least 1/5 natural landscapes (dense forest and open habitat); (3) at least 1/5 of agricultural landscapes (orchards, dry fields, and paddy fields); (4) with streams, ponds or wetlands, with settlements (man-made pavement or structures), but not more than 1/5; (5) non-isolated patches. Under the eight-neighbor rule, it can be connected to other mountainous landscape patches that meet the above conditions, and finally be connected to patches with more than 4/5 natural landscapes according to the above conditions. A total of 2462 grids were selected based on these conditions. The logic behind this condition setting is to screen out grids that extend natural landscapes and have a certain ecological corridor function.
