This study utilizes the framework of the "Regulations for Inspection and Reinforcement of Highway Bridges" to conduct research on general concrete bridges (girder bridges and slab bridges) for vehicular traffic, using the results of regular inspections and the basic bridge data in the "Bridge Management Information System for Vehicular Traffic Bridges." The study proposes a "whole-bridge risk assessment" model. The established bridge whole-bridge risk assessment model can rapidly assess the overall condition of the bridge, enabling bridge management agencies (such as the expressway authority, highway authority, and various county and city governments) to make the most of their limited maintenance resources and ensure that bridges in urgent need of repair receive timely and appropriate maintenance.
