Conservation actions require the participation of various teams, including central and local government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and academic units, relying on cross-sector and public-private cooperation from conservation strategy development and implementation to education promotion. The conservation of freshwater mussels has already received attention and regulation in international trade. Therefore, this conservation plan reviews the investigation of freshwater mussels and main threats, and proposes conservation actions to increase population numbers with the goal of healthy habitats and stable populations, inviting various teams including central, local, non-governmental, and academic units to jointly promote the conservation of freshwater mussels.
