Datagov Opendata Platform

This project continues the research results of the "Development and Installation of Bridge Bottom Detection Tool for Tidal River Section Bridges" in 2019. It utilizes the multi-joint extendable characteristics of the bridge bottom detection robotic arm to explore the narrow and dark space under the bridge with a camera. Bridge inspectors can operate on the bridge surface and immediately check the condition of the bridge bottom through the returned images. This project enhances the standalone vehicle tool, elongating the inspection arm to 8 meters and improving the material and structure of the inspection pole with carbon fiber to enhance image stability and clarity. It also includes added LED supplementary lighting, laser virtual ruler function, and positioning function. Through field testing, it can stably extend and move to shoot bottom images under the bridge, not only for detecting the actual condition of the bridge bottom in the tidal river section, but also for improving the quality, efficiency, and personnel safety of bridge inspection operations.
