Military service exemption, prohibition, and deferment statistics table
Men of conscription age who are found to be exempt from military service after conscription examination, shall be exempted from military service according to law; those who have been sentenced to more than 5 years of imprisonment or have served a cumulative total of 3 years in prison, are prohibited from military service; in addition, conscripts who are studying, prosecuted for crimes, or serving a sentence, may be granted a deferment in accordance with the regulations on exemption, prohibition, and deferment of military service.
