The office, in response to the directive of the Minister on March 22, 2019, aims to assist substitute military servicemen in obtaining the EMT1 certification. As a result, the office has actively analyzed and refined the requirements for EMT1 training, and from the 2020 fiscal year, will incorporate a 40-hour EMT1 course during the basic training for substitute military service. The office is also actively raising the necessary funds, procuring teaching materials, planning and coordinating sufficient teaching venues, and conducting cross-domain integration. On January 6, 2020, the office invited relevant units such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Fire Department of the Ministry of the Interior, and various cooperating fire departments to establish a consensus on specific implementation methods.
