To understand the current situation of handling domestic violence under the legislative design and trends of the criminal justice system, this article first explains the role and function of the police, prosecution, judiciary, and correctional sub-systems in the Domestic Violence Prevention Act, and then examines official statistics from the past three years. For most domestic violence cases that have not entered the criminal justice system, how to provide the assistance needed by the victims and propose effective violence prevention strategies in the future are areas that require more attention, but also some suggestions for further efforts in the criminal justice system.
