As the concept of eco-friendly hotels is just getting started in Taiwan, the Environmental Protection Administration's initial definition of an eco-friendly hotel focuses mainly on "obvious waste reduction," including whether the hotel promotes reduced bed linen and towel replacement frequency, reduces the provision of disposable toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes, and engages in resource recycling.
