This data set is one of the statistical results of the "National R&D Status Survey".2. Full-time Equivalent (FTE) refers to the number of people engaged in a research and development job, converted to the number of people working full-time. For example, if a researcher spends half of their working time on teaching and the other half on research and development throughout the year, this researcher is equivalent to 0.5 "full-time equivalent" (or 0.5 person-years); if they are engaged in research full-time (calculated as 250 working days per year), they are equivalent to 1 "full-time equivalent."
