Hot springs are a precious natural resource owned by Taiwan, and to ensure the sustainable development of hot spring resources in various regions, the establishment and integration of a hot spring monitoring network is the most important foundation for implementing hot spring management. By effectively utilizing detailed, accurate, and complete monitoring networks, it can verify whether the estimated total amount of hot spring development in the area is correct, and can also be used for real-time warning and response to hot spring temperature, quality, and water level. Long-term and comprehensive monitoring data is further used as a reference for analyzing the formation of hot springs, supplementation, and administrative management techniques. Since the year 100, the Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has been conducting hot spring monitoring operations in Jiaoxi and Sizhongxi. Since 101, it has integrated hot spring monitoring operations in Beitou and Wulai areas and has issued the first "Taiwan Hot Spring Monitoring Quarterly Report." So far, the hot spring monitoring well network in Taiwan has gradually taken shape, and its results will be published in each issue of the Hot Spring Monitoring Quarterly Report to ensure the sustainable management and development of hot spring resources.
