To promote the Long-term Care 2.0 policy, Taoyuan City proposed the trial plan for the overall care model in the reconstruction area and Yangmei area in November 2016. Both areas received central government subsidies, with a total of 10 units offering 17 complete long-term care services. The plan aims to achieve the diversification of participating units, the development of integrated and diverse long-term care resources, the promotion of flexible and dense long-term care services, and the promotion of employment and the reserve of care manpower. The plan will gradually expand in 2017 to provide convenient care services for the public, reduce the burden on family members, promote the health and well-being of the elderly, improve the quality of life for the elderly, and realize the goal of local care and aging in place.
