The so-called "overseas students" refer to those who come to Taiwan to study in accordance with the "Regulations for Overseas Students Returning to Taiwan for Study and Counseling," while "Hong Kong and Macao students" are handled in accordance with the "Regulations for Hong Kong and Macao Residents Coming to Taiwan for Study" to encourage students from Hong Kong and Macao to study in Taiwan. This dataset includes nine categories of data such as the number of overseas students enrolled in public and private universities, the National Defense Medical College, the Preparatory Department for Overseas Chinese Students, vocational schools, senior high schools, vocational schools, primary schools, and overseas youth classes for each academic year.
