Datagov Opendata Platform

This area has achieved successful afforestation since 91 and has become a new landmark for successful afforestation in the flatlands of the Hualien Valley. The Dafu and Danong afforestation areas have been selected by the Council of Agriculture's Forestry Bureau as three major flatland forest recreation areas, and were opened in 2011. The area is vast and complete, with 13 kilometers of cycling paths winding through the trees. It is home to a variety of rare and protected species, such as the Mikado Pheasant, the Crested Serpent Eagle, the Crested Goshawk, the Collared Scops Owl, Taiwan Hwamei, and the Red-billed Blue Magpie, as well as medium and large-sized wild mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and insects. It is an ideal location for ecological observation, especially during the "Maple" season in winter, when the yellow or red leaves cover the roads, sometimes encountering the rare and delicate Mikado Pheasant, creating a beautiful natural scene.
