Overseas social education activity annual subsidy statistics
To encourage compatriots to actively integrate into the mainstream society of their host countries, expand their participation in public affairs, and enhance overseas influence, the Committee on Overseas Chinese Affairs actively encourages overseas Chinese organizations to hold cultural and sports-related activities. They also actively guide these organizations to organize overseas social and educational activities through large-scale iconic cultural and sports exchanges, including traditional drama performances, ethnic dance, folk art exhibitions, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, flower art exhibitions, variety shows, modern concerts, national music performances, folk or art song concerts, arts and cultural seminars, youth composition speeches, painting and calligraphy competitions, and various sports events such as track and field events, sports competitions, various ball games, hiking, rowing, dragon boat races, lion and dragon dances, martial arts, shooting, fishing, skiing, rock climbing, etc., to facilitate regular social gatherings and cultural heritage within overseas Chinese communities, and to exert the main influence of national diplomacy in overseas communities. This data set includes two categories of data: subsidies by place of residence and year.
