National Science and Technology Commission Datun Volcano Observatory_ Earthquake Activity Monitoring
The Tatun Volcano Observatory records that seismic activity in the Tatun Mountain area is mainly concentrated in three regions: Qixing Mountain, Dayoukeng, and Bayan. There are an average of 150 to 200 earthquakes per month, with depths of around 5 kilometers below the surface, and mostly ranging from magnitude 0 to 1, which are considered unfelt earthquakes. Several times a year, there is an abnormal increase in the number of earthquakes within a single day, indicating the possibility of swarm activity in the area.
