1. The foreign exchange earnings from exports are included in this statistics only when repatriated by designated banks in the exporting country (export foreign exchange income).2. The foreign exchange payments for imports are included in this statistics only when they are remitted by designated banks in the importing country according to the customer's instructions (import foreign exchange expenditure).3. The values of funds transferred to and from the major countries in the Asia (excluding ASEAN) region (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea) are provided annually and accumulated monthly for the foreign exchange receipts and payments for imports and exports conducted through designated banks.4.
