The Academia Sinica convenes academicians and experts from various fields, both domestic and international, to form research groups and deliberate on important issues in science and society. These groups discuss related strategies for the selected topics and publish policy recommendations. They offer forward-thinking and challenging perspectives from an academic standpoint for relevant stakeholders to consider, with the aim of stimulating diverse societal deliberation on the issue, to benefit government decision-making and policy formulation.
