In accordance with Article 67 of the National Health Insurance Act, insurers are required to publish the ratio of insurance wards in each contracted hospital monthly. According to the Regulations Governing Contracts and Management of Medical Service Institutions under the National Health Insurance, the prescribed ratio of insurance beds for contracted hospitals is 75% or more for public hospitals and 60% or more for private hospitals. Hospitals must comply with the regulations on insurance bed ratios when increasing or decreasing beds for other reasons. For contracted hospitals that do not meet the requirements, penalties will be imposed and they will be ordered to improve within a specified period, as stipulated in Article 86 of the National Health Insurance Act. Therefore, our agency publishes the insurance bed ratios of hospitals at each level monthly in accordance with the aforementioned regulations.
