The proposal for the National Health Insurance suggests using the following five indicators to assess the quality of care for asthma patients: the rate of asthma patients joining the "Asthma Medical Payment Improvement Plan," the rate of rehospitalization within 14 days for the same disease after discharge, the rate of asthma patients using short-acting beta-agonists or inhaled corticosteroids to control the disease, the rate of hospitalized patients participating in the "Asthma Medical Payment Improvement Plan" due to asthma attacks, and the rate of patients participating in the "Asthma Medical Payment Improvement Plan" seeking emergency care for asthma attacks.
