We integrate information from commissioned research projects, commonly used research methods in academia, and the Reef Check Foundation, compile the Taiwan Marine Ecological Survey Handbook, and ask for suggestions from Professor Shao Guangzhao and Professor Dai Changfeng. We excerpt this ecological survey method for use by citizen scientists and scientific researchers to gradually accumulate environmental information for the purpose of facilitating similar survey methods and long-term comparisons. There are many scientific survey methods for marine ecosystems at home and abroad. This handbook serves as a basic survey guide for citizen scientists and basic surveys, and there may be omissions and deficiencies. In this regard, we ask for advice from all parties as a basis for future enhancement.
