Nansha Taiping Island marine area related achievements report
Taiping Island is the largest natural island in the Nansha Islands, with a well-developed coral reef ecosystem, providing abundant biological resources. Taiping Island is the only island in the Nansha Islands where our country currently deploys the Coast Guard for substantial jurisdiction. However, due to the distance of Taiping Island from Taiwan, ongoing investigation and establishment of basic biodiversity and ecological data in the area is the most basic and practical method for conservation and management.
