Datagov Opendata Platform

The purpose of this project is to provide a community-based Hakka language promotion guide as a reference for revitalizing the Hakka language from the community. Based on the theories of language revitalization and community language planning, and referring to the experiences of international organizations (such as the United Nations, European Union) and important indigenous language revitalization countries (such as Wales, Ireland, New Zealand, and Canada, etc.), this project proposes community-based Hakka language revitalization suggestions. In recent years, language policy perspectives have emphasized the integration of top-down government policies and bottom-up community practices. This project starts from the micro-level local communities to plan for enhancing Hakka language awareness and creating a Hakka language learning and usage environment in the community. This project will develop a Hakka language community promotion guide for community members to establish their community-based Hakka revitalization plans, using Hakka to build the community and revitalize the Hakka language through the community.
