The 38th Taiwan Area Improvement Plan for Accident-Prone Roads
The 38th Taiwan region road improvement project for accident-prone sections is carried out based on the 13th "Road Traffic Order and Traffic Safety Improvement Plan" promulgated by the Executive Yuan in 2018 (Project Number: Trans 25101). The project utilizes the road traffic accident data in Taiwan in 2019 (Type A1 and A2) for statistical analysis through the Road Safety Information Platform to identify accident-prone locations. The findings are then sent to the joint (supervisory) meetings of the road safety committees of various counties and cities for review and, after summarizing the accident-prone locations reported by the joint (supervisory) meetings of the road safety committees of various counties and cities, improvement proposals are reviewed in writing or jointly inspected on-site with relevant units based on the characteristics of each location.
