The social assistance section of this office compiles the data reported by the various district offices in the national social welfare information integration system.(1) Low and middle-income households: Refers to households that are reviewed and determined by the competent authority at their place of household registration to have a total family income that, when evenly distributed among all family members, does not exceed 1.5 times the minimum cost of living per person per month, and whose family assets do not exceed a certain amount announced by the competent authority of the central government or a municipality for that year.(2) Determination of households with disabled members is as follows:1. The head of the household is considered a member of a household with a disabled member if they are disabled.2. If the head of the household is not disabled, the household is considered to have a disabled member if there are more disabled people in the household. If the number of disabled and non-disabled people in the household is equal, the household is determined to be one with disabled members or without based on whether the older person has a disability status.(3) Determination of disabled individuals: According to the Disability Rights Protection Law, individuals holding disability certificates are included in the statistics, regardless of whether they belong to a household with disabled members.
