The Social Assistance Section of this office compiles data based on the information reported by various district offices in the national social welfare information integration system. (1) Low-income household: refers to a household that, after applying to the local competent authority of the household registration, is verified to have a total family income that averages below the minimum cost of living per person per month, and whose family property does not exceed the specified amount announced by the central and special municipality competent authorities for the year.(2) Recognition of households with disabled members:1. If the head of household is a disabled person, the household is recognized as a household with disabled members.2. If the head of household is not disabled, but there are more disabled individuals in the household, it is recognized as a household with disabled members. If the number of disabled and non-disabled individuals in the household is equal, the household is recognized as a household with disabled members or non-disabled members based on whether the older individuals are disabled.(3) Recognition of disabled individuals: Individuals holding a disability certificate are counted in accordance with the Disability Rights Protection Law, regardless of whether they belong to a household with disabled members.
