The Social Assistance Section of this department will compile the information reported by this department and various district offices in the national social administration information integration system.(1) Low-income households: refers to households that have been reviewed and approved by the competent authority of the household registration location, with a total family income averaging below the minimum cost of living per person per month and a family property value not exceeding the specified amount announced by the competent authority of the central or special municipality for that year.(2) Recognition of indigenous households:1. The head of the household is recognized as an indigenous household if they are indigenous.2. If the head of the household is not indigenous, the household is recognized as indigenous if there are more indigenous people in the household. If the numbers of indigenous and non-indigenous people are equal, the household is determined as indigenous or non-indigenous based on whether the older individuals have indigenous status in accordance with the Indigenous Peoples Basic Law.(3) Recognition of indigenous status: In accordance with the Indigenous Peoples Basic Law, individuals who have indigenous status will be counted, irrespective of whether they belong to an indigenous household or not.
