Datagov Opendata Platform

1. This dataset is compiled from data provided by various government agencies and projects commissioned by government agencies to create river maps for public reference. For central government-managed rivers, the river boundary points should be based on those announced by the Ministry of Economic Affairs for central and inter-provincial rivers.2. River (tributary) data is provided for use by government agencies and private organizations, groups, or academic units commissioned by government agencies. The fields display the Chinese names of rivers, and the spatial data is represented in line format, with a total of 2,015 data entries.3. In hydrology, a tributary refers to a river (or other body of water) that flows into another river without directly reaching the sea. The river into which a tributary flows is known as the main stream or trunk stream, and the confluence of two or more rivers is called a confluence. The opposite situation is referred to as a distributary. Along the flow direction of the river water, tributaries can be referred to as left tributaries and right tributaries.4. When opening this file using Google Earth software, there may be some discrepancies in the overlay of layers due to the lack of precise orthorectification in the base map images provided by Google.
