To include patent terminology from various fields, the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs classifies them into eight categories according to the International Patent Classification (IPC), and includes technical terms in Chinese and English from various data sources such as the Ministry of Education, Intellectual Property Office, Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Academia Sinica, as well as related terms and simplified Chinese terms used in mainland China.
