Early in Taiwan, reservoirs were constructed, and reservoir management was one of the important tasks of this agency. The agency maintains basic data on publicly announced reservoirs each year, which is measured and updated by the reservoir management unit according to operational needs. The content includes year, region, reservoir name, reservoir code, river name, agency name, agency code, town name, type, dam height, dam length, watershed area, full water level area, design total capacity, design effective capacity, current total capacity, current effective capacity, latest completion of reservoir capacity measurement time, and other fields, which are updated annually as the basis for the agency to understand the basic status of each reservoir.
