The National Health Insurance proposes the ratio of asthmatic patients participating in the "National Health Insurance Asthma Medical Benefit Improvement Plan", the ratio of asthmatic patients readmitted within 14 days after discharge for the same disease, the ratio of asthmatic patients using short-acting beta-agonists or inhaled corticosteroids for medication control, the ratio of patients participating in the "National Health Insurance Asthma Medical Benefit Improvement Plan" hospitalized due to asthma attacks, and the ratio of patients participating in the "National Health Insurance Asthma Medical Benefit Improvement Plan" seeking emergency treatment for asthma attacks, are used as five indicators for assessing the quality of care for asthma patients before seeking medical care.
