1. Employees who are on parental leave without pay and continue to be insured, the portion of the insurance premium that the insured unit should bear is borne by the government. However, as of January 1, 2003, for employees of government units on parental leave without pay, the insurance premium that the insured unit should bear is still borne by the insured unit.2. According to the letter from the Council of Labor Affairs of the Executive Yuan on April 2, 2004, insured persons who continue to be insured during their waiting period onshore as foreign-employed seafarers are not required to pay occupational accident insurance premiums from April 1, 2004.3. In accordance with Article 5 of the Regulations for Continued Participation in Labor Insurance during the Medical Leave Period for Occupational Accidents, for insured workers who continue to participate in insurance after leaving their jobs due to occupational accidents, 20% of the insurance premium is borne by the insured person and 80% is borne by the Labor Insurance Fund within 2 years from the effective date of the initial insurance coverage. After 2 years, the insured person and the Labor Insurance Fund will each bear 50% of the premium.
