Datagov Opendata Platform

This dataset provides basic information on the stratified subsidence monitoring wells (referred to as subsidence monitoring wells) belonging to the Water Resources Agency throughout Taiwan. The measuring principle of the subsidence monitoring well is to pre-locate the magnetic induction rings at different depths of the strata, then use induction detection equipment to measure the depth of each induction ring from the ground surface, and analyze the compression of each stratum to understand the subsidence changes at different depths of the strata. Its features include the ability to monitor multi-layer compression changes, high measurement accuracy and stability, good durability, and is one of the most suitable instruments for monitoring stratified strata compression changes. The Water Resources Agency currently has 57 subsidence monitoring wells installed (in addition to 1 monitored by the Fisheries Agency), distributed in Yilan, Taoyuan, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and other counties and cities. Observations are conducted on-site every month (in 2022, only 12 wells were measured in the central Yunlin area), and the results of the subsidence monitoring are published no later than the beginning of the following year, and the content of the dataset from the previous year is organized and updated to avoid errors in manual readings, technical personnel register the data in a standardized form when measuring on-site, and simultaneously compare and confirm with the tablet computer, repeating measurements for abnormal readings for confirmation.
