Water Resources Agency Geological subsidence magnetic ring stratigraphic monitoring well monitoring information
The information from the monitoring wells for subsidence monitoring under the layering of magnetic rings in the strata (referred to as subsidence monitoring wells) refers to pre-locating magnetic induction rings at different depths in the strata, and then using induction detection equipment to measure the depth of each induction ring from the ground surface, and analyze the compression of each layer to understand the information of the compression variation at different depths of the strata; its characteristics include monitoring multi-layer compression changes, high measurement accuracy and stability, good durability, and is currently the most suitable instrument for monitoring layered strata compression changes. The Water Resources Agency currently has 57 subsidence monitoring wells installed (1 additional one is measured by the Fisheries Agency), distributed in Yilan, Taoyuan, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung and other counties and cities.
