This dataset is commissioned annually to compile and produce the water usage of various targets in the previous year. The utilization of water for different purposes has long been valued by the economic and water resources-related units and various academic research units. This is to provide the government with clear statistical data on water usage to facilitate the formulation of water policies and serve as a reference for water resource planning across various sectors. To provide the public with this valuable information, the Water Resources Agency publishes an annual water usage statistical report. The statistical and compilation methods used in the annual report have been in use for many years. In recent years, the situation of water resources development and application has become increasingly diverse, and water resources management has become more sophisticated. The water usage and source estimation data is used for water resource planning and management. The data scope is based on each county and city as the statistical unit, with the purpose of understanding the actual water usage situation of each target.
