The Ministry of the Interior's Military Service Bureau processes the statistical table of the number of households receiving living assistance.
During the period of military service, when the family life of the conscript falls into difficulty, they can apply for family assistance at the township (or district) office of their household registration. After the assistance level has been approved, they will be given a one-time resettlement fee and various forms of assistance (comfort) funds. This information primarily provides statistical information on the budget expenditures and the number of households receiving living assistance for soldiers in camp, substitute conscripts, and substitute conscripts engaged in research and development for the year, for public reference.
