The ratio of emergency patients with level 3 injury who are transferred to a hospital ward within eight hours.
The emergency room is mainly for the urgent and appropriate management of acute illnesses and severe trauma to shorten the course of illness, preserve limbs, maintain function, and save lives. In order to expedite the triage process in the hospital emergency department, the central health authority referred to foreign experiences and announced the "Emergency Five-level Triage Classification Criteria" in 2010, to facilitate the rapid determination of the criticality and severity of the patient's condition, enabling truly critically ill patients to receive timely emergency medical services.
