The rate of transferring Level 2 emergency patients to the ward in less than eight hours.
The emergency department mainly provides prompt and appropriate treatment for acute illnesses and severe injuries to shorten the course of the disease, preserve limbs, maintain function, and save lives. In order to expedite the triage process in hospital emergency departments, the central health authority referenced foreign experiences and announced the implementation of the "Five-level Triage Criteria for Emergencies" in 2010. This allows for the rapid assessment of the criticality and severity of patients' conditions, ensuring that critically ill patients can receive emergency medical services in a timely manner.
