"The Green Restaurant" is a kind of environmentally friendly restaurant. Due to global warming and population growth, the international community is paying increasing attention to food security issues and the need to reduce food waste. In response to the environmental trends of "food" at home and abroad, the Environmental Protection Agency adjusted the focus of the original "Green Restaurant" promotion from 2019, in addition to continuing to encourage the catering industry not to actively provide disposable tableware. It also responded to the priority use of domestic or organic ingredients, and responded to the food-waste policy by providing customized meals, such as reducing the portion size, promoting the "Green Restaurant Project". Catering industry operators who respond to the following content can join the Green Restaurant:(1) Reduce at the source: do not actively provide disposable products.(2) Use local ingredients: prioritize the use of domestic ingredients.(3) Implement food-waste ordering: provide meal portion adjustment services.
