The ocean covers three-quarters of the Earth's surface, nurturing diverse natural environments and ecosystems. Ocean conservation and sustainability are also international focus areas. In accordance with the Executive Yuan's "Saluting the Sea - Coastal Cleanliness Maintenance Plan" for 2020-2023, the Coast Guard Administration focuses on "cleaning," "monitoring," "decomposition," "transparency," and "education" to promote ocean affairs and marine environmental cleanliness. The management of marine waste requires collective efforts, and by understanding the achievements of the Coast Guard Administration's recent marine waste management efforts, it is hoped that everyone, regardless of who they are, will join in the efforts to clean the ocean.
