To maintain the rights of patent applicants, strengthen the management of patent professionals, establish a patent system, especially formulate the Patent Attorney Law, which was implemented on January 11, 2008, and the management of patent attorneys is handled by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. In order to make the outside world understand the relevant provisions of the Patent Attorney Law, a Q&A on patent attorneys is compiled, covering patent attorney exams, patent attorney business, patent attorney licensing and registration procedures, and patent agent practices.
