Water Resources Agency Algae Survey Data
This dataset primarily includes information on the watershed, rivers, sampling points, dates, species, use methods, and quantities. The dataset is provided by the River Situation Survey Database Management System of the Water Resources Planning and Testing Institute of the Water Resources Agency, and it integrates river situation data completed by the Water Resources Agency over the years for unified management and querying on the river situation survey data website. It is expected to serve as a reference for river water resources management, ecological environment maintenance, and environmental improvement planning for river region structures. The key content of this dataset is the species, location, and time of algae, allowing users to further analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of species. According to the operation points of the river situation survey, the survey should be conducted for at least one year, at least once per quarter, and the survey frequency should try to avoid using adjacent months as data for two quarters. Algae are divided into planktonic and benthic algae. There are fewer records of planktonic algae in the upper reaches of the river, and the necessity of their survey can be considered on a case-by-case basis. There are fewer records of benthic algae in the lower reaches of the river, and the necessity of their survey can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
