This dataset mainly contains information on the river basin, river, sampling points, dates, species, methods of use, and quantities of terrestrial insects. The dataset is provided by the River Situation Survey Database Management System of the Water Resources Planning and Testing Institute of the Water Resources Agency, integrating the river situation data completed by the Water Resources Agency over the years, for the unified management and inquiry website of river situation survey data. It is expected to serve as reference data for river water resources management, ecological environment maintenance, and environmental improvement planning for river region structures. The key content of this dataset lies in the species, locations, and times of terrestrial insect species, allowing users to further analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of species. In accordance with the operation points of the river situation survey, the survey should be conducted for at least one year, with a minimum of one survey per quarter, and the survey frequency should try to avoid using consecutive months as data for two quarters.
