Shimen Reservoir (including the Ronghua Dam) watershed is located on the main tributary of the Dahan River in Taoyuan City, spanning five counties and cities including New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Yilan County, Hsinchu County, and Miaoli County. The North Region Water Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, based on the regulations of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, submitted the watershed scope of the Shimen Reservoir (including the Ronghua Dam) on October 17, 101 AD. This watershed scope is based on the principle that it covers the entire basin within the watershed ridge line above the main dam of the reservoir, and as part of the upstream and downstream series of the Dahan River, the upstream reservoir, Ronghua Dam, was combined with the downstream reservoir, Shimen Reservoir, to define the reservoir watershed. After being confirmed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the data was made available as open data on May 13, 104 AD. As the watershed scope maps of the reservoir are yet to be completed for all 95 sites across the country, and there are concerns about the adjacency and shared edges of the subsequent setting of maps and the originally confirmed maps, the provided data is for reference only.
