Shiogama Dam Watershed Map
The watershed of the Shihgang Dam reservoir is located at the lower reaches of the Dajia River in Shihgang District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It diverts water from the Dajia River to supply domestic, public, agricultural, and industrial water needs. The watershed area is determined based on the principle of the entire basin ridge line above the Shihgang Dam. The area covers approximately 186.45 square kilometers. According to the regulations for creating and verifying reservoir watershed maps, the Central Region Water Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs submitted the Shihgang Dam reservoir watershed area on February 28, 2013. It was verified by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Water Resources Agency, and made available as open data on November 23, 2015. As the mapping of the watershed areas for the 95 reservoirs in Taiwan is not yet complete, the release of the watershed maps will be carried out gradually based on the progress of the verification process.
