1. Scope and objects of statistics: Traffic accidents occurring on the roads in the New Taipei City area are within the scope and objects of statistics.(1) Accidents caused by the operation of motor vehicles or power machinery.(2) Accidents occurring on the road.(3) Non-fatal cases. (i.e. meeting the criteria of the Road Traffic Accident Investigation Report A2)2. Standard time for statistics: Based on the incidents occurring each year.3. Classification criteria: Classified according to road category and road type.4. Relevant laws and regulations:(1) Road traffic accidents: As defined in Article 2 of the "Regulations for Handling Road Traffic Accidents," it refers to accidents caused by the operation of motor vehicles or power machinery on the road, resulting in death, injury, or damage to vehicles or property.(2) Road: Refers to public roads, streets, alleys, squares, arcades, corridors, or other places for public passage.(3) Road categories and road types are based on the first party involved as the statistical standard.(4) Dedicated roads refer to roads specifically used by various industries. (If accidents occur on two or more different types of roads, the road on which the first party was traveling is considered primary.)(5) Road traffic accidents do not include accidents involving railways (trains) themselves, but accidents involving trains and motor vehicles or power machinery are included, known as level crossing accidents. 5. Data collection methods and compilation procedures: The traffic division of the city's office compiles the monthly Road Traffic Accident Investigation Report forms and submits them to the traffic brigade of the city's office for compilation of the monthly data according to the report forms by district.
