1. Statistical scope and objects: Traffic accidents occurring on the roads within the New Taipei City area are the statistical scope and objects. (1) The accidents must be caused by the operation of motor vehicles or power machinery. (2) The accidents must occur on the road. (3) There must be fatalities. (i.e., those that meet the reporting conditions of Road Traffic Accident Investigation Report A1).2. Statistical standard time: Based on the facts occurring from the 1st of the month to the end of the month.3. Classification criteria: Classified by road category and road type.4. Relevant laws and regulations: (1) Road traffic accidents: According to Article 2 of the "Regulations for Handling Road Traffic Accidents," it refers to accidents caused by motor vehicles or power machinery traveling on the road, resulting in death, injury, or vehicle and property damage. (2) Roads: Refers to public roads, streets, alleys, squares, arcades, corridors, or other places for public passage. (3) Road categories and road types are based on the first party involved as the statistical standard. (4) Dedicated roads refer to roads dedicated to various industries. (If accidents occur on roads of two or more different categories, the road on which the first party is traveling is the main one). (5) Road traffic accidents do not include accidents involving the railway (train) itself, but accidents involving trains and motor vehicles or power machinery are included, known as level crossing accidents.5. Data collection methods and compilation procedures: The Traffic Division of the Bureau will submit the road traffic accident investigation report form filled out for the month to the Traffic Brigade of the Bureau for compilation. The monthly data will be compiled into this form according to the respective branches based on the investigation report form.
