1. Scope and Object of Statistics: Any traffic accidents that occur on roads in the New Taipei City area are included in the scope and object of statistics. (1) Accidents caused by the operation of motor vehicles or power machinery. (2) Accidents occurring on the road. (3) Accidents resulting in fatalities (i.e., meets the conditions for reporting on the A1 type of road traffic accident investigation report).2. Statistical Time Criteria: Based on events occurring from the 1st to the end of each month.3. Classification Criteria: Based on the cause of the accident and the number of deaths and injuries.4. Definition of Statistical Items: (1) Road Traffic Accidents: As defined in Article 2 of the "Regulations on the Handling of Road Traffic Accidents," it refers to accidents involving the operation of motor vehicles or power machinery on the road, resulting in human fatalities, injuries, or vehicle and property damage. (2) Road: Refers to public roads, streets, alleys, squares, arcades, corridors, or other places for public passage. (3) Data on the cause of the accident is based on the first party involved. (4) Number of occurrences: Calculated according to the definition of A1 type. That is, the number of deaths in A1 type cases. (5) Number of deaths: The number of deaths in A1 type cases. (6) Number of injuries: After classifying cases of death in A1 type cases, the number of injuries is calculated.5. Data Collection Methods and Compilation Procedures: The Traffic Division of this department will report the road traffic accident investigation forms completed in the month to the Traffic Brigade of this department for compilation. The monthly data will be compiled into this form according to the investigation report and subdivided by district.
